'It is photography itself that creates the illusion of innocence. Its ironies of frozen narrative lend to its subjects an apparent unawareness that they will change or die. It is the future they are innocent of. Fifty years on we look at them with the godly knowledge of how they turned out after all – who they married, the date of their death – with no thought for who will one day be holding photographs of us.' Brook and I had a brilliant time with Denis Smith at Port Noarlunga with a Shimmer Photographic Biennale workshop. Informative and fun the 4 hour workshop was a perfect balance of theory and practice. We were very rugged up but the weather gods were kind with only the lightest sprinkling of rain at the end of a productive night. Here for your viewing pleasure is our first foray into light painting...Read Article

A long, long time ago in a galaxy remarkably close if not indeed this very one I studied jewellery and metalsmithing and got myself my very own HECS debt and a shiny Bachelor of Design. Due to my recent pregnancy and now current breastfeeding status I have been reluctant to pursue my metal based art due to toxic type concerns. Soon however I hope to wield my trusty hammer and various other neglected tools before I forget how to ride this particular proverbial bike.Read Article

Here is the first of my posts showing the work I do manipulating my photographs, beginning with fairly straightforward colour manipulation.
I love this old rusting Simca.
“Aronde” means “swallow” in Old French and it was chosen as the name for the model because Simca’s logo at that time was a stylized swallow.

Well finally my first real post...
Found this old tin advertising sign the other day and couldn't resist using it as a jumping off point for some new work. I am interested in producing a range of cards to sell around Burra and like the idea of merging old aesthetics with my computer generated work.Read Article
